Kman Saved me $3500

Yeah, dont cut it off, the minute you do youll need it in deeper water! LOL You know how that goes!
They also sell a 7ft for $10 less.

You made another point there Kman. I was in a spot yesterday afternoon in 6 ft water where one of the poles would have come in handy. Sometimes a regular mushroom anchor is a mess on a soft or mud botton. I’m thinking about it…

when I first bought my 8 foot poles, I thought they would maybe be longer than what I needed but I wanted to be able to use them in as many water depths as possible…I would just have to live with the one in front being higher than what I wanted…boy was I surprised when I found out that I actually use the entire 8 foot length…with my transducer on the bottom of my trolling motor, my depth finder is showing about 3.5 to 4 ft of water…add about 1.5 ft from the transducer to the water surface and you have 5 to 5.5 ft already…when you add the pole projection above water plus sinking it almost a foot into soft mud means I use the entire 8 ft of pole length…sometimes the pole handle is touching the bracket…no way could I use less…

Well, you have convinced me. My transducer is also on the bottom of my front mounted electric motor. I keep forgetting it’s already down a foot or more. Will get one to start and see if I really need two.

I saw a Poor man’s copy of this system on CarolinaSkiff.com. The pole was fiberglass purchased from Granger.
