Pre-fishing Grand/St. Marys

i had this nightmare last night, that we were fishing a tournament on this giant lake, but the water was only 3 foot deep, and the lake was covered in dead shad and smelled like death, and the crappies in this lake were so spooky they were afraid of there own shadow…then i woke up screaming and realised it was no nightmare:rolleyes:

Thanks again tbone for the help. We wound up middle of the field, and considering we hadnt even had a bite till noon, we were ok with our finish.
There were some dandy crappies caught, we just left ours for somebody else to catch. If it werent for a couple of very helpful folks on the bank, we might not have even caught a fish period.
Ive still got bruises on my back and ribcage from laying upside down in the boat, with my head hanging over the side of the boat trying to shoot a jig underneath of pontoons, only to catch drum and bluegills.
That was an experience to say the least, hoepfully one we wont ever have to repeat.

Good God i hope buckeye isnt like that.

Sounds just like what i remember.Wish it would have been better but the weather has not been warm enough this year. You should try Buckeye or Indian they are much better .Buckeye has some deeper water but fishes a lot easier.Clous is a good one to start in.

Tbone I talked to Weasel & he said he did not know you ???

he should have said he knows of me…Tbone the man,the myth and the legend…my wife calls me by the latter…

A legend in his own mind:D

Tbone, Weasel/Troy said Hi. I didn’t have a # to give him though. Send me a PM with all the Buckeye Lake secrets since you know all these lakes… Thanks! Don’t tell Yates ; )
