At long last, DGIF has posted the AoM/Y lists here. I don’t know everyone’s street names, but didn’t recognize any of the names on the lists. The 2011 citation lists are not posted yet, but that should happen in the next few days.
3lb 4oz at Prince and Burnt Mills last year, hmmmm. Buggs dominates on reported citation crappie.
2011 citations are now posted here.
These two are rare but I guess there are a few monsters in there.

Lots of real good information there if you take the time to go through it. Thanks.
Donald Newhart Sr… have to make a few phone calls on that. I know a man by that name.
I find it hard to give this report much credibility. There are just too many discrepancies and that is just from the people we know. I talked to the biologist that was at the yellow perch bash on NW River and asked him why there were no big crappie there. He said the nutrients needed just wasn’t there to support big ones. If you look at the previous years there were a total of 2 reported 2006 thru 2010. Now all of a sudden there were 2 for 2011. It makes me wonder but I do hope its correct as that would mean things are picking up in the river.
I have seen 2 citations in NWR one was caught within sight of the park. I catch a lot of flack over saying “there are big crappie in NWR” I did catch over a dozen in the same day 12" to 13" I did not weight them but they were thick. I have not seen them but I have “heard” north bay has 17" crappie also. Someone told me they caught a cooler full of crappie all over 2 lb. biggest 18". They fried em all. Another person told me he caught big crappie in Mill creek bass fishing, said it was the biggest he had ever seen. I do hope it is a trend toward big.
That is encouraging.
I know where Tulls Bay is but where is North Bay?
That happening in the state of Virginia is very very unlikely… I have heard stories like this before but no one ever seems to have a camera to prove something like this… I’m sorry but if I caught that many big crappie in one day I would put my picture in the newspaper LOL.

Very northern part of Back Bay. Or just north of Shipps Bay which is just north of Redhead Bay.
