Bundick's Dis.........lol.....02-13-09

Julie and I went over to Bundick’s today and fished with Shadow and Deacon.. Fishing was a little slower than it has been, but we still managed a mess of 21 fish… some good slabs and several whole fryers. Water temp was 60 and best color for us was red/chartruese with a pink head.. fished about 12-14ft deep in 14-25fow. We left around 2 and the bite was still slow with the occasional nice fish here and there… Hope they picked up for Chris and Dwyane after we left… they usually do for a little while.

Here is Dwyane and Chris trying to find them.

Here is a pic of Dwyane with a nice slab.

And Julie got her first double… with 2 nice slabs… best double I seen caught in my boat so far. Dywane, maybe you need to fish out of my boat in order to get your first double..lol

and here is our catch for the day…

Nice mess of fish Johnny, Tell Julie congrats on the double. Looks like you guys had a great time.

Dang it!
Every time I turn around… Bundicks dat!

I’m very happy about yawls catch!

Randy

You folks sure deserved those nice fish. Thanks for the post and the pics. Ray

Nice catch!

Thanks for the pics.

Congratulations on the fish. Julie set the bar high for you Johnny.

Well like Johnny said we made a trip to Bundicks today. Here are a few of my pictures. Johnny got tired of catching crappie so he figured he would catch some of the jigs from our last trips out there! Here he is with one set of my jigs. Just before this he caught a set of jigs that he left out there!

Johnny and Julie

So you want to fish Bundicks! This was after he got some of it untangled! And Chris was in my boat!:smiley:

Johnny with a nice one.

Man this guy is SERIOUS about his sac-au-lait!

Our catch for today (25)

Had a great time! Hope to do it again soon!

Y’all have runined Chris with this Bundicks Dis crap! :o:eek::stuck_out_tongue:

Hey guys ,deacon, dewayne, johnny and Julie, congrats that a nice mess of fish!

Looks like y’all had a fun time, no super slabs but a nice bunch of “whole fryers” I’ll take them anyday. Good job on the double Julie. I can’t say I’ve ever done that, of course I only fish one jig at the time.

Randy, its almost like we planned on doing a Bundick’s Dis and Bundick’s Dat thread when we got home..

Good pics Dwyane, glad yall had fun today, I just wish the weather would have been better and the fish may have bitten better. Oh and I see my camera is 12 hours off on the time, some of the pics are dated yesterday…lol

Chris, it was good to see you again, glad we could entertain you while you were there…lol

PPG, the biggest one in our bunch was 1lb 9oz and a few just over a pound… and them little ones (they were all atleast 9") will fry up good.

Thanks for the replies. and Julie said Thanks for the Congrats on her double.

Johnny, I think the biggest we had was 1.2 lbs and we didn’t keep any under 9 inches either.

I will take you up for that offer to fish in your boat! Anything I can do to improve my chances of a double!:smiley: LOL

Johnny and Dwayne, just picking on ya. Although now and then I run into some nice ones mostly I catch nine inchers to slightly better. Most of mine are “whole fryers”. It just great to see y’all having fun and catching a some. Thanks for the pictures, they tell a great story of fun, friendship and family. Ain’t that what it’s all about. It can’t get no better that that.

Nice double what knot are you using to attach multiple jigs on your line everything that i have been trying just turns out so wrong.

Fishing Looked Good, Glad You Nailed Them, But I Fish On Truman Lake In Missouri And 2 Jigs With All The Timber Can Be A Hand Full, I Think I Counted 4 Jigs On Your Line? Man I Bet The Jig Companys Love You Or Do You Not Get Hung Up…except On Crappie? ..

its the surgeon’s loop.. here is a link to it.
The Surgeon’s Loop

we hang up regularly but with the rods being so sensitive, if you are paying attention and not running your mouth, lol, you can feel them rubbing on the stumps, and you just backtrack a little and give it slack.. nine out of ten times you can get them loose without breaking off.

Thanks for the link and I am assuming that this Knot does not affect the line strength and has very little line slippage by the size of the double that you had pictured, if only i could get doubles like that:D:D:D

nah, I don’t think it effects the line strengh at all, and there is no slippage.. I have 8lb stren hi vis gold on all my rods, and its pretty darn strong even with the knots.

Looks like everyone had a great time and some good fish. Thanks for the report and the pictures.
