I talked to butterbean tonight on the cell. he had invited me to go to wateree with him today but i had a docs appt and couldnt make it. too bad. he told me he had a full day of it. had 28 hook ups and put 24 of em in the boat. wound up keeping 9, one shy of the limit. he said the fish was on the smallish side but still was a good day fishing. im hoping hell get a chance to come on and tell us about today. i cant remember half of what he told me. I think his computer acess is pretty limited and he dont get many chances to post.
Did he get them in the honey hole or near colonels creek???
he said he started at the honey hole, caught two and moved toward colonels creek. the wind got up and he run out of bait and caught some shad and moved on to the mouth of beaver creekwhere the wind wasnt so bad and thats where he caught most of em.
Wind permitting I will start at the north end of the honey hole. If it gets bad I will move to the steep rocky banks between just south of Beaver creek. They didnt start bitting untill after daylight on Sunday.Ill see you out there on Sunday.
ok, ill be looking for you. thumper being out of town, i should run over and get his thumping stick outta his boat. or does he allow anyone to touch his stick? some folks pretty particular about their special stuff…
You should get it and we can hold it for randsom or paint it pink. Or both!!!
hed put a reward out for whoever painted his stick pink…pink would be a good color to have in the boat.. make it easy to find in low light ![]()
