Floating jig dragonfly?

I found a video of a floating jig dragonfly and I’m lost as to how to make one. The head float? The body, wings. Anyone have any ideas?

Its a soft plastic body on a floating jig head. Specifically a moon dog dragon slayer plastic.

But I want to make my own, not frustrated enough with my complicated stuff I already make.

I didn’t even think about buying floating jig heads. The wings and body seemed to float too but floating plastic baits are a thing too. May just keep this simple… for a change.

Northland makes some good floating heads, use that and a plastic of your choosing. Or you could tie one, but anything tied in that shape with big wings tends to cast terrible. Ever try and throw a sheet of paper? Thats about how damsel or dragon fly flies fly (yeah that was a pun).

Im guessing those plastics have floating substances added to them if they are meant to fish as top water.

I saw this article about dragonflies and thought it might be helpful:
