I have only fished Grenada a few times but love fishing up there and plan on fishing alot more in the future up there. Was wondering what would be the best map for me to be able to learn what everything is actually called on the lake. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks
Those maps they pass out at the corps offices are pretty good to just get you started then the Lakemaster chart card for Humminbird units is really good.

The lake master map paired with the app has just about everything on it but honestly Google maps on your phone is pretty good.

Locals have unique names for places that may not be the same as on the map. I know most of these lakes pretty well and still hear people talk about certain areas and call it something I’ve never heard before.
Yes, it took awhile to speak Enid in Water Valley . On Enid there is Barton’s ditch, Annie’s creek , McFarland hill ,Airplane, Cotton field ,Ho-buck, mud/snake creek ,Hidden Lake, and My go to was/is Flower creek. Some maps have a few of these and if you know these two you are definitely a local " bad man tree" and" Crappie hollow ."
I grew up down at WV boat landing area. I knew the first 6, but you got me scratching my head on the others.
At Grenada there is the “Hairy Tree” and “Eagles Nest”. Never seen either of those on a map… Or rattlesnake, or Jack’s slough, or the “old Orchard” for that matter.
mud/snake creek runs along the west bank going into Billy’s creek . Hidden lake is a small inlet behind ironwoods just up from sign 14 . at Bynum . Ho buck lies south of Mud line road between Mooney ans Robinson crossing . flower creek is found up Bynum in the middle of the s-curve . If you drive down the gravel road to the left just before the traffic counter at Bynum it will take you to flower creek . careful there is no wood on bridge . It is hidden by to hills overlapping from the water . Very shallow at mouth but a beautiful creek .Badman tree is off the west side of Rowsey . River runs back together there . Crappie hollow is straight across from water valley ramp, just east of Love JOY . Boat patrol especially at night will teach you much . lol
Wow, thanks for the info. I guess i did know Flower creek, just didn’t know the name. Same with mud/snake creek. I fish Crappie hollow just about everytime I go. Always start at Mooney or Billy’s and work towards O’tuck, then to the other side. I guess I never paid attention to the Bad looking tree in Rowsey haha. I’m excited about this year, the places I usually catch them are ditches that i use to ride my dirt bike to at high water levels 40 yrs ago. A buddy and me have a cabin at the state park April 4-7. I plan on coming down before without the boat and checking out the old roads, ditches and pastures I used to wade as a kid. Thank’s for the knowledge and that cabin by the way is 14 I think.
