Took a trip to the home state and met up with my uncle and cousin to fish for bream on Lake St Joseph and Lake Bruin. First day at st Joseph was no bueno, tons of Lilly pads. We caught just a few and no size really. 2nd day at Bruin was much better, we caught a decent mess, and received a nice donation that we cooked up Saturday night, we only really only fished the cypress trees and a canal/ditch. The rain kept running us off, but good trip just couldn’t find the big bulls. No electronics we just slow trolled through the shallow cypress trees and grass… Pictured is a few on the Jungle Jim jig, it did really well. They used crickets and quill floats, I used jigs the whole time. Also we didn’t spot any beds, but we will back also might try Concordia or st John. The state park is really nice as well.
