No filter. I just take my plain ol’ digital and turn it to “dumbell”. Gotta be there at the right time.

My Deck. Between October and March is the best time for these sunsets. I got so I can kinda tell the conditions that result in these real nice ones. More this year than most any other in the last 7. Slightly overcast with clearer skies in the west. The sun going down reflects off the bottom of the cloud cover as it goes down low in the horizon and off the suface of the lake. There’s about a 15 minuite window to catch this on the right nite. This has been a great year for these pics. Check my blog:

great shot kunes. when i was doing professional photos, my go to subjects to escape the work was sunsets and macro of insects.
Yeah, there are several pro photogs that come down here to Windjammer Park to shoot the sunsets. It helps to know what conditions set 'em up.
