Hey Crappiefarmer,
Weez & Jerry are pretty tough on me. Don’t tell them I told you, but I had only planned on doing one show with each of them, but it took 2 or 3 before THEY could catch one!!!

LOL:D .The tables have turned. Russ, I just got your series 2 and 3 on DVD and have enjoyed them. Lots of good info. Even the ones with Weezer and Jerry!
You guys are doing a great job. Keep it up.CF
I agree with shiloh a show below a dam would be great…they can be feast or famine and i have seen it both ways.A show like that would appeal to boaters and bank fishermen alike.
I know that below the Carpenter Dam on Lake Hamilton (which is the upper river end of Lake Catherine) during February, trout are stocked and caught. Below Blakely Dam on Ouachita (which is the upper river end of Lake Hamilton), walleyes can be plentiful at times. But for crappie, that would be a chore. Guess one would have to really find the right place to cut enough footage to make a show of catching crappie in a river system just below a dam. That would be very interesting.
Come on down Russ, I’ll take you out and we can catch some crappie and talk about the conceptual mechanics of fishing deep, clear water reservoirs - channel and point structure, find the cover, then hover - segment one: map reading to identify channel and point structure; segment two: sonar usage and benefits of GPS for finding the cover; segment three: hovering to target hungry crappie.
P.S. – since we now have the camper set up permanently, segment four: fish fry with friends.
Hey Russ,
I would say Guntersville Lake. Around Goosepond area. Its know for the bass but it produces some nice crappie. You’ll have to come early before the bass tourneys starts. I’ll be your ametur tag along.

Hey when doe the show start back up it is still on the sportsman channel?
Russ is one fish catching man, only his camera man caught more on our little trip! But Russ, lets do a fall false spawn fall 2007! October! same lake as before if you would like and accomodations! What do you think! But practice saying fall false spawn in falsies real fast! Merry Christmas! Bruce the washopper man! Yes yellow and white are still my favorite colors!
Hey, Russ.
How about something like what the BASS guys do in their magazine. Take someone who is considered by most as a professional crappie fisherman ), say a tournament guy or team,(even Weezer
and take them to a lake neither of you have ever fished before, maybe even in a region never fished before. Film before the trip with planning and whatnot, during the trip actually finding fish or not, and film after the trip and keep it true to whatever turns out. I would love to see how different crappie fishermen prepare and break down areas to fish using prior knowledge, their prefered fishing style, topo maps, and possibly helpful hints from locals. I would very much be interested to see that. I love fishing new water and new lakes and I would like to see how a professional might go about it preparing for a tournament or just a fun day of fishing.
I think that might make an interesting show.
I wish you could hookup with the Outdoor Channel I’m tierd of there shows,They had a Crappie show one season !![]()

I’m with David. New lakes intimidate me.I would like to see a pro/seasoned anlers approach.
All I ask, is send me a copy of someone, anyone catching crappie on Muskegon Lake or White Lake in Muskegon County, Michigan.
Oh please, oh please, oh please!!:o
Those specks are there, and I’ve been spending way too much money on those Blakemoore’s, to no avail.
I have pictures of my father catching them years ago, but he never had the time to show me. Rest his soul.
Want to see crappie shows?
Look way south of Michigan. Maybe I’m chasing a ghost??
Them dang fish are driving me nuts.
How about a show in northern Illinois for a change. I have never seen a show here.
I would like to see a show or a series of shows about Crappie fishing at Shelbyville Lake and or Sangchris Lake in Illinois
If any one is interested in doing a show with Russ or getting a show done in an area they would like to see, send me an email and I will tell you what has to happen in order to do a show. My email address is [email protected].
This is a busy time for Russ and he may not get on his PC every day. I will be able to answer any questions you may have.
how about richard with the dallas cowboy chearleaders, i wouldnt care if they caught any fish at all, lol, seriousley though the only reason that have come to have such a passion for crappie fishing is because i found russ videos on the net one day, i have all the seasons and use them often, they got me hooked up with richard for the best time i ever had fishing they let me know who jerry is and he answers all my questions about condos they got me to know what crappie unlimited is and how they can help me improve my local lakes. russ whatever you decide to do just keep doing it. i really appriciate the product you and your staff produce. keep up the good work. but weezer and the chearleaders would work!
I would like to see shows on setting condos and finding them with a graph. The pro idea sounds great too. Thanks for the chance to win DVDs

Wait, it just dawned on me. Cheerleaders and a Cast-n-Blast Ducks in the mornin and crappie in the afternoon. Mana from the heavens!
For some reason I don’t think northern crappie like RR’s as much as southern ones. I also have limited success on RR’s in the north.
I Would Love To See How Good Fishermen Find Crappie In Deep Water On A New Lake.anybody Can Figure Out How To Catch Fish Spring Or Fall.but Summer And Winter Crappie Fishing On A Big Lake Can Be Very Difficult To Figure Out Such As Wheeler Lake.i Have Been Fishing It Since I Was A Kid But Have Never Been Able To Catch Crappie In The Summer On A Regular Basis And Would Love For A Pro To Show Me How To Pinpoint Water Where Fish Should Be In The Summer Time.
summer and winter they go deeep . sometimes you can`t see them on a finder . becouse they will be so close to structor or bottom . try a bottom bouncer on the dropoff and around structor . or maby drop a weedless jig down into brush .
