Jeff invited me to do a little creek fishing with him so I headed to Truman. Had high hopes to do as well as last time fishing this spot couple of years ago. Put in and was not too long after starting to fish Jeff brings a nice one in so I am thinking we going to get some. Fished the rest of the day and only had 5 in the live well and one short but fat one tossed back in the lake. Good day out with Jeff and got a lot of visiting in. On my drive home noticed the beautiful bright moon and said I know why never have done very good around the full moon.
Not too bad when the fishing is tough but the fellowship is good. Looks like a nice lunch there.

Minnowdipper, Caleb and I had 22 on Pomme Friday. It was cold in the morning but finally warmed up a little. Must have been the moon. Had a great time. Thanks for the birthday trip cuz.

Just enough for a samich
Hard work is sometimes rewarded, but not always. People forget that. Well done, at least you got a few and kept them honest.
Went out twice last week to Lake Springfield and got in some bank fishing. Below the dam the water was really moving and quit foamy. Climbed the steps and went to the other side, Lake side of dam, and had a couple short strikes in 2 hours of fishing. Decided to pull stakes and went into the park over by the old boat launch. Fished another 2 hours with one short strike. Called it a day and came home. Had a beautiful day. Decided I’m getting an inflatable pontoon boat and get off the bank. Amazon prime has the Colorado XT for less than 200.00. Also gonna get me some neoprene wet suit and some neoprene boots so I wont be so cold in the water. Even though I got skunked, I had a good time.
