For those of you interested, a side imaging transducer works great mounted inside my Hobie Outback. From everything I had read I was convinced it wouldn’t work mounted inside but it does. I mounted a Humminbird 598 ci di si transducer in the very fromt of my hull and just used clear silicone. Works like a charm. If you have any questions post them here and I’ll try to answer them.

Yes I mounted it on the outside and fished with it for 3 days and it looks better through the hull but it’s probably because I’m learning how to set it up. Man these things are awesome for finding matts and tops out of sight and on ledges.
