Met up with my fishing buddy today just before noon and we fished boat ramps and parks at West Point Reservoir here in Georgia.
Hot , low to mid 80’s , partly cloudy , with an occasional breeze that felt pretty good .
We both fished ultralight spinning tackle spooled with 2# line , micro spinners and tiny micro jigs were the lures used .
After four hours of hard fishing my buddy edged me out with a fish count of 37 to my 36 .
Some fine gills and shellcracker were caught today by both of us .
My buddy lost a nice 3-4# spotted bass that tangled him in a downed tree limb and eventually broke off .
I couldn’t decide on just four pictures today , so I posted the best of the ones I caught . I take pics of all that I catch because I can’t keep an accurate count without taking pics of all.
I caught another one of those colorful gills like I caught last time .
